Street children

Orphanhood, conflicts in the family and poverty are the main reasons why children move to the street. The life on the street is hard and the children have difficulties accessing health care, are not enrolled in school, have to sleep outside on hard pavements, have to eat poor food and are badly treated by the public. They are also facing severe abuse at night when they might get robbed, cut with razor blades or get sexually abused. Some children have even been killed. The children say that people treat them as thieves and hooligans.
